When Day Is Done, Love And Laughter Become Our Hope
by Milton Lee Norris
When day is done, another day will soon follow.
This is one of the blessings, which we are blessed to see.
When day is done, tomorrow will become the new day, and then it too will be done.
How wonderful our blessings are, so gentle, sweet and ever so memorable.
It is like the clouds, which have moved enabling the sun to shine through.
It is like the rain, which stops allowing the Angels to wipe their tears,
And begin to soothe our hearts,
So that we may shed some tears.
When day is done, it’s joy in the evening,
Then we wait for a bright new morn.
When day is done, it’s time to say so long.
When day is done, it’s our time to smile, for we have shared the joy of life.
When day is done, it’s our passion that brings us closer together.
We now understand that there really is a how to love somebody.
When day is done, we find that we love and we love more passionately.
When day is done, we to find we want to give and keep on giving.
When day is done, we are finally learning how to love.
When day is done, we are willing to love a little bigger than we did before.
When day is done, we now understand that he had a special kind of love.
When day is done, we want to share in this special kind of love.
We want to share because we know how real it is, and how real he was.
We want to share just part of a vision so clear.
We want to share a glimpse of a birth so rare.
We want to share the thrill of a wonderful life.
When day is done, we want to share that love so rare.
When day is done, we want to share that smile so real.
When day is done, we want to share that laugh once laughed.
When day is done, we want to share that voice once sung.
When day is done, we want to learn how to really love.
It is in love that we hope.
It is in love that we dream.
It is in love that we cry.
It is in love that we tremble.
Now we understand that “Love is the most precious thing in the world,
It’s beautiful, and then there’s the laughter.”
We want to share in this wonderment of life.
Amen
